What is Spiritual Direction?
There is a lot more to us as humans then just the physical body. If it were just the body physical that we dealt with we would only need doctors, good exercise, and a good diet to have a fruitful life. God designed us to have different components to our being as well. We are physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and spiritual beings. A fulfilled life would be each of these components of our beings running in harmony. Often times through various life events and circumstances one of the components of who we are can become strained, causing our entire life to become strained. Or one may want to strengthen one of the dimensions of who they are (such as exercise for the physical) and may be seeking to grow in who they are.
Regardless of the reason why one is seeking support, spiritual direction can help. There are many different thoughts on what spiritual direction is and is not. Fulfilled Life sees spiritual direction as joining you along your journey through life and helping you to the next step, whatever that looks like. This journey will be different for each individual and spiritual director. Just as there are many different disciplines on how one connects to God, a spiritual director will work with the uniqueness of each group, couple, or individual to help achieve their goals.
How do I get started?
The first session is typically complimentary dependent upon the spiritual director in order for you to get to know one another and to set some goals. If you are ready to get started then fill out the application (in .doc or .pdf) and send it to the appropriate spiritual director that you are hoping to meet (contact information found here).
